In-Clinic Diagnostics

When pets are sick and not feeling well, it is important to gather as much information about their health condition as quickly as possible in order to start treatment right away. For this reason, Animal Medical Center maintains a complete in-clinic diagnostic laboratory equipped with the latest technology that allows us to get results quickly and accurately.

Our in-house diagnostic capability enables us to conduct blood chemistry panels, complete blood counts, electrolytes, fecal flotations, pancreatitis screening, parvovirus testing, thyroid testing, heartworm and parasite testing, as well as testing for tick borne diseases such as Ehrlichia. We also perform urinalysis, tests for feline leukemia/FIV, phenobarbital testing, as well as progesterone testing to assist in animal reproduction. Additionally, we are equipped with a digital radiology unit and ultrasound technology for further diagnostics.

Bloodwork and other tests are necessary because they provide crucial information about your pet’s overall health. Physical examinations alone do not provide a complete picture of an animal’s health condition. For this reason, we recommend annual checkups and bloodwork. This regular collection of data gives us a history of your pet’s health status and helps us recognize any changes that could indicate the early onset of disease. Catching a disease in its early stages gives your pet the best chance of recovery.
